As the fourth and last child in my family, I had the experience of watching my three older sisters excel in high school and graduate near the tops of their classes. Being the young, impressionable, eight-year old girl I was made me want to be like them. I wanted to do extremely well in school and graduate in at least the top quarter of my graduating class. Since the first day of kindergarten, I wanted to graduate. For every year that passed, my anticipation for graduation day increases progressively. It was almost unbearable by the time I was a senior in high school.
Throughout my senior year of high school, I became more and more anxious to graduate.
