Anxiety smells like a duffel bag full of old
sweaty gym clothes that have been in a locker
for two weeks; it twists my stomach into knots
and makes me gag.
Anxiety tastes like drinking a cup full of
sour milk and it makes me feel completely
overwhelmed with sickness.
Anxiety sounds like a bunch of nails
screeching across a chalkboard because it
makes me cringe every time I hear it.
Anxiety looks like roadkill that has been
lying at the side of the road for days; its
absolutely disgusting and revolting.
Anxiety feels like being stuck at the
bottom of a pool to the point where you need
air but you can't take a breath because you
know you'll die and you start to panic.
