In the climate of which every human being suffers a lost of a loved one or sent to prison to await the final sentence, the capital punishment debate arises to the occasion. Many who support this measure believe that it can be a very effective punishment as long as life, liberty, is used universally and that the death penalty is a permanent solution. Capital punishment could be a very effective punishment if the government implemented it in every state, used it consistently, and limits the appeal process in capital cases. The other argument of this debate questions why capital punishment exists and is morally wrong. Opponents of the death penalty believe that is final and irreversible, and there is no evidence to show that the death penalty deters crime more effectively than any other punishment.
