Islam, as we all know by now, was born in the 7th century in Mecca. It was founded by the religion’s last prophet: Muhammad. Very soon after its creation, the Muslim religion saw an incredible growth in few years. Nowadays, Islam is the second biggest religion in the world after Christians, with over 20% of the World population being Muslims. Today Islam is found on each continent and in almost every country. People who migrated from Muslim countries to the west, east, north, and south are the major reason for this spread, although converts are another reason.
