Many animals do not develop the diseases that afflict humans, so why is it that there are still harmful tests being conducted? (Colombo, 2007). I feel it is morally unacceptable to experiment on non-human animals to develop products and medicines that benefit human beings. Not only is it immoral, but the animals pay for it with disabilities and in most cases their lives. Scientific experimentation with animals is controversial, not only because thousands of living beings are sacrificed for this purpose each year, but also because many consider the practice useless (Colombo, 2007).
When hearing of animal testing, the first thought goes to rats or mice.
