Paranoia is defined as a mental illness in which an individual has distrust in others, delusional or has an unrealistic belief. Some patient suffering from this illness usually feels that someone or something is out to harm them emotionally, mentally or physically. About 0.5 to 0.25 percent of men and women are diagnosed with paranoia. It is more commonly found in men rather than women.

There are many symptoms that relates to paranoia. Some of the symptoms are usually suspiciousness and does not trusting people. In their mind they feel everyone is “out to get them”. The feeling people will harm them emotionally, psychically or mentally. Self-referential thinking, meaning they think every one in the world is talking about them. Thought broadcasting, where people can read their mind. Magical thinking, they can use their thoughts to influence other people's thoughts...
