be it a cousin or direct tree line related to me, has fought for this countries freedom in every American since the countries inception. I am proud to be an American and I am proud of where I come from. But for all intensive purposes when I fill out my census, or a job application, I am “white, non Latino”. But what does that mean? It means that my skin is white. It means that because I am not mostly Asian, Native American, Black, or Latino that I am “White”, I am not a minority group in the United States. I am a “Majority” group. But where did I come from, as far as my “white” skin and racial background is concerned? Was the “Pale skin” always here? The answer to that is no.

Being of “white” racial status and knowing my own families past I can tell you that my people colonized here back before the country was founded. My mothers side of the family which is mostly Italian came to this country shortly after the country declared independence. So they to helped to colonize the country. As my race had been here for several generations before becoming a country they were not discriminated against but in fact I am ashamed to say did most of the discriminating. Being slave holders, and generally racist it was not uncommon for white people be this way, and look down upon new immigrants coming to the country. White people, more specifically white people that had been in the country for more then one generation tended to think that the country was there's and they did not like that immigrants were coming into there cities to take there jobs among other things. And tended to act out with racial slurs in the form of racism, segregating communities to be only black, Jewish, German, Italian, etc. and in general prejudice was very common among whites. And in fact that can still be seen today in some places of the country.

As far as I know and for what I have read, there have not been cases of discrimination against whites in sectors other then...
