9/11

Everyone has heard about 9/11. Some had even witnessed the very fall of the Twin

Towers themselves, but a question that has been posed countless times in the past is "did the

government have a hand in 9/11?" No one knows the whole story behind the terrorist attacks,

although many have come up with not only crackpot theories that says it is simply one large

conspiracy, but also compelling arguements that offer insight into this unfortunate experience

in American history.

There are two online articles I recently found on the subject. The first is entitled

"Verifiable Media Reports on 9/11" from wanttoknow.info. It isn't so much an article as it

is a complete timeline of events leading up to 9/11, although the first paragraph seems to refer to

the event as "one of the most pivotal events in world history." They also go on to say "Its impact

will be felt for years to come." There are several significant points they reference to help you

come to your own conclusion. One fact is that the government knew about the attacks on the

World Trade Center ahead of time, from several different sources. One paragraph reads "An

Iranian man known as Ali S. in a German jail repeatedly phones US law enforcement to warn of

an imminent attack on the WTC in the week of September 9-15. He calls it 'an attack that will

change the world.' After a month of badgering his prison guards, he is finally able to call the

White House 14 times in the days before the attack. German police later confirm the calls."

A later paragraph reads "Two days after 9/11, Newsweek reports: 'The state of alert had

been high during the past two weeks. A particularly urgent warning may have been received the

night before the attacks, causing some top Pentagon brass to cancel a trip. Why that same

information was not available to the 266 people who died aboard the four hijacked commercial

aircraft may become a hot topic on the Hill."...
