Paragraph 1
It was our first trip to Disney world. I had made all the arrangements online months in advance. It is now mid-December and sleeting outside. We head to the airport. After sitting on the runway for two hours our plane takes off. Upon arrival to the Orlando airport we picked up our luggage and head for the car rental counter. They have us fill out several forms and then ask to see a credit card. When I give them our check card she kind of looks at me funny and explains that she still needs a major credit card. After letting her know we do not own one. She goes into the terms and conditions of renting a car and that there must be a major credit card on file. I explained that I made my reservations on line and the terms there did not mention this. But she said she did not know what the web site explains at this facility they require a major credit card for rentals. And at nearly midnight she said that there was nothing she could do for us. Thankfully there was another rental location in the airport still open and willing to rent us a car.
Paragraph 2
When the couple presented there bank card we explained our standard car rental policy is a major credit card on file. After they explained they did not own one. We let them know we would be unable to rent them a car.
Paragraph 3
We reserved a rental car on your web site with our check card. Upon arrival at your facility in the Orland airport we where refused a rental due to the lack of a major credit card. It would be beneficial if your online terms and conditions stated that each facility operates by there own terms on the use of a major credit cards. And that some require one to rent a car.
When writing these three paragraphs, I found the first one the easiest to put together, and the second one the hardest to put together. I do think that each one hits on my main point of the lack of information from car rentals web site...
