A Fictional Swan Story. Folktale.

One day, Nereus, a teenage boy, was walking along the lake. It was summer, and he was extremely thirsty. He wanted to take a drink, but he had no bottle. He remembered what his mother always used to say when he was little “don’t drink the swan lake, or else you will turn into one yourself”. Nereus didn’t exactly believe this, but it has scared him enough to consider. He though that this was a day to finally test it. He bended down, cupped both of his hands, and sunk his hand cup into the beautiful mystical water. He picked it back up, and looked at his reflection, as the water sparkled and for a split second, he though he saw the whole beautiful day sky, but with shining stars in it. He picked it up to his mouth, and told himself- I am doing this for curiosity, just if something happens. He let the water slowly trickle down his throat. It tasted like the most wonderful water he ever tasted; it was sweet, and refreshing. When he drank his 3rd cup, he felt something weird. He put the water back into the lake, as he crutched his upper arms. They ached really badly. His feet, body, and nose hurt horribly. As he looked at his arms- they were covered in feathers and had transformed shape! His nose was growing into a beak! His whole body was changing into a swan like body! When the transformation was done, it didn’t feel painful at all; in fact, he felt so refreshed and relaxed, just like the feeling of an after massage. He could not believe it! Mother was right! He had turned into a swan! He couldn’t speak, so he decided he would actually live his life as a swan. He swam gracefully into the water. He remembered his sister’s friend Demetria. She was only 5 months younger than him. His sister and mother disappeared mysteriously and their bodies where never found. His dad had died in war. Demetria was a really beautiful girl. She had curly, bouncing, blonde hair. Her eyes were white blue. In fact when he looked at her, he thought he could see right thru them....
