JOB ANALYSIS
Sales Position at InterClean

To ensure that we recruit and retain appropriate personnel for the new salesperson at InterClean, we will conduct a job analysis using the following methods:
 Observations of the current sales staff at various levels
 Interview a person at each level of the sales force (most recently hired person, midlevel salesperson, senior sales representative) and
 Review any major initiatives that have occurred within the past 12 months

As a midlevel sales manager, it is important that an analysis of our current talent is completed prior to hiring new personnel for the team.   In the upcoming weeks, interviews will be conducted in the field and observations will be made the various levels of the current sales staff.   Additionally, an assessment will be done as a barometer test of our last ten sales, random in volume, to ensure that the current force is meeting the needs of the clients.   After this initial step has been completed, informal interviews of various current staff will be conducted to obtain their point of view to see where they perceive our shortcomings are.   Finally, the company’s current initiatives will be reviewed and as well as the staffs talent inventory to see if we are missing any key attributes.   These kind of assessments help identity what we need in “people” talent in order to move forward and successfully attain the company’s goals.

Detailed below are the requirements for the new salespeople that we will be looking for in the upcoming months:

 The ability to research and identify target client sectors and new initiatives that are local, region, state and nationwide specific
 Make initial contact with potential clients
 Make client files with all contacts and meet with them monthly to ensure current and future needs are being met
 Biannually review former client files and attempt to contact and possibly renew the relationship
