Construction Machines used in The Building of Abraj Al-Bait Complex

At the time of construction boom all over the world, I chose the construction machines which are very common but unique in their usage of constructing high rise luxurious towers and buildings. With the limited minds of human beings, we still don’t use these machines to its complete capacity. With the help of these machines, we can reach the infinite amount of stories in a high rise building; and we can make unlimited amount of buildings all over the world only by the help of these machines. I will discuss about the cranes in this research paper. To be discussed in the following paragraphs, the cranes are as follows:

1. Crawler Cranes
2. Top-slewing Tower Cranes
3. Bottom-slewing Tower Cranes

However, there are so many other types of machines used in the construction of Abraj Al-Bait Complex. But I only chose to discuss about cranes because these machines fall in the main category of the construction. Without the help of these machines, no contractor can build any high rise and luxurious building.

What are cranes? And why do we utilize them in construction?

Cranes are a broad class of construction equipment used to hoist and place loads. They are the dominant piece of equipment in the world for construction of both building projects and heavy civil projects. Cranes are epitome of the growing construction industrialization witnessed in the last decades. Each type of crane is designed and manufactured to work economically in specific site situations; modern-day sites often employ more than one type of crane and more than one crane of the same type. Cranes are very helpful construction equipment to utilize them in the building project.
