Academic & Career Goals Essay
The year is 2010 I am sitting at my desk reviewing an Enlisted Evaluation Report on an up and coming Technical Sergeant (TSgt).   I hear a commotion in the hallway, in walks the Wing Commander and the Command Chief Master Sergeant.   The commander presents me with my last and final stripe of my career.   I have attained Chief Master Sergeant, the highest rank achievable for an enlisted Airman and one of only ten in the Vehicle Operator/Dispatcher (2T1X1) career field.   With this stripe comes the respect of being the top among my field and in the enlisted corps, the prestige of being the top 1 percent of the entire Air Force.   I have achieved my goal, a goal I set for myself when I received my own TSgt stripes in 2003.   I had made this rank by punching all the holes in my “ticket” necessary.   I volunteered in the community and the base, I had won the awards necessary to be completive, and I had earned my Associates Degree from the Community Collage of the Air Force and subsequent Bachelors Degree in Logistics and Transportation from American Military University.

I am a logistician I make things move; I get people where they need to go, without ground transportation the Air Force would not fly.   I have worked hard to become a TSgt, at this time I am in the top three the Non Commissioned Officers (NCO) in my office.   That is no small feat for having thirty-five NCOs assigned.   I have mastered or am honing all aspects of my career field to the present time.   I have supervised troops since 1996 ranging from two all the way to sixty-six.   I have managed the dispatch of requests for small (35 personnel) to large organizations (120 personnel).   In addition, I have orchestrated the flawless execution of over 700 Distinguished Visitor engagements ranging from as high as Vise President of the United States to Wing Commanders.   I am very good at working under pressure, i.e. ensuring that over 9.8 million short tons of ammunition was moved from...
