In my current position organizing is used as a management function. We currently have a one Sales Leader who’s essential function in monetary. We also have a Zone Business Leader who’s one of his essential function is human resources. In a conventional organizational chart, these positions are equal and report to the same person. They are both positions on a very local level and are on the forth tier of the organizational chart as a whole.
First, the Zone Sales Leader is the highest position in Florida’s zone Orlando area. The Zone Sales Leaders main function is monetary. The Zone Sales Leader must ensure that the money spent in the Orlando area is recouped in sales. She has a team of managers underneath her to aid in reaching the zones goal. The Zone Sales Leader uses differentiation and then integration to achieve sales goals. We have a team of District Sales Leader who help to keep the companies sales goals aligned. This practice is known as delegations; “ the assignment of new or additional responsibilities to a subordinate (Bateman, Snell 2007). The Zone Sales Leader delegates day-to-day operations to the District Sales Leader. The district Sales Leader then delegates the daily sales functions to the sales representatives. Delegation allows managers to save time and to focus efforts on higher-level activities. Delegations also help mangers give the right task to the right subordinate. An employee with a specific skill set can be placed directly with that specific task. Delegation empowers subordinates. Delegations gives subordinates a sense of independence. “In essence, the subordinate receives a vital form of on-the-job training that could pay off in the future”(Bateman, Snell 2007).
