I Am Always Late! Developing a Research Strategy to Break a Bad Day-To-Day Habit
“I’m late! I’m late, for a very important date!” (Carroll, 1865, p. 150).   The infamous words from the White Rabbit in Alice in Wonderland are completely relatable; if there was one problem in my day-to-day life that needed to change it would be that I am, 90% of the time, chronically late.   Despite my best intentions I just cannot ever seem to be on time.   I am, on average, at least 10-30 minutes late to almost everything; work, hair appointments, doctor appointments, meeting up with friends.   According to DeLonzor (2005, p. 109), “President Bill Clinton, Robert Redford and Naomi Campbell are all reputed members of the better-late-than-never club that also includes 20 percent of the U.S. population.”   I am obviously not alone concerning chronic lateness.   This has the potential to be a serious problem and it is one I need to do something about.   Where to start?   Coming up with a research strategy could be a good way to work though the problem.
