Amazon is an online retailer that offers competitive pricing threw out the World Wide Web. The sole purpose of this online giant is to revolutionize the retailing industry.   Although Amazon is the biggest retailer online, it has not fulfilled the promise to the investors of profit growth. As the online premise has changed and other companies are taking the advantage of the online retail industry this has made Amazon profit margins not up to par. The other companies that are taking the margins of growth from Amazon is Wal-Mart, MySpace, and YouTube.

When Amazon decided to build an online infrastructure, which is to be the most reliable global retail store for services. They never thought far enough as the World Wide Web is always evolving. However, 10 percent of the processing capacity is only being used which is not good for the size of Amazon.   As the result of this Amazon decided and implemented three computing components. These components are will enhance the infrastructure and make information shared with other companies and individuals easily obtained.  

These three components are S3 (Simple Storage Service) 15 cents per gigabyte per month, EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud) rents out processing power starting at 10 cents per hour for one basic server, and TMT (The Mechanical Turk) combines processing power with networks of real people.   As these three components were introduced by Amazon, they did not move away from their core concept by being the world leader for online retail.

The concept of providing these services are; to use it, comprise it, and make money with their information services that will make them competitive by having data resources, and making a percentage for sales, including using the compressed information that   they have gathered to target buyers online to increase their sales.
