The American Revolutionary War

First I’m going to talk about how the American revolutionary war started. It all started when the British started taxing things like paper, tea, sugar, etc…. Also when the British started grouping their troops, With the American homes in the New England region. Soon after that Boston experienced the Boston massacre when a regiment of troops open fired on a group or angry citizens. Then when the taxes got out of hand the Americans started to boycott items such as the products listed. After that when that didn’t work they had to Boston tea party of December 16, 1773. Now when the tea was dumped into the bay of Boston it was to show that they didn’t want the taxing of tea or another kind of items. Later that year the king of England passed, the Coercive Acts (called Intolerable Acts by Americans) after this act was passed the sound of war bleated heavily within the American community.
The next part of the American revolutionary war is the years when the declaration of independence was made and heroes were born. Now it all started when General Gage ordered 700 British soldiers to Concord to destroy the colonist’s weapon depot. Later that night, Paul Revere and William Dawes are sent from Boston to warn colonists. Revere reaches Lexington at about midnight and warns Sam Adams and John Hancock who are hiding out there. The next day that attack was successful but the Americans attempted to fight back. The Americans had about 50 militiamen to fight the British. 8 were dead and 10 were wounded the rest fled in fright. On that day when that first shot was given off it was called (the shot heard around the world). Finally our true leaders emerge and the revolution has started.
A couple of days later about 1 week the congress of Philadelphia ordered the military to mobilize 13,500 troops. They all volunteered form all over of New England they made camps around Boston until they were ready to attack. American forces led by Ethan...
