I believe that Giuliani or his supporters paid for the news clip to be created.
I believe that the news clip was slanted to lead us to believe that Giuliani would be a good candidate for President because he has faced the difficulties and horrors of 9/11 with strength, and to show his caring/human side.
I think the clip reflects that society at large is safer because the attack on America on September 11th, 2001 made us pay more attention to the threats to our nation. I believe that this is semi-credible. This clip is a few years old and we have seen the measures taken by homeland security to make people feel safer. However, Mr. Giuliani seems to contradict himself. At the beginning of his statement he claims that we are safer because we know the risk, but at the end he says that we are still at “grave riskâ€.
I am skeptical of the source's (Giuliani) credibility. Giuliani is a politician hoping to run for president. I believe that this clip is slanted to make him look like a good candidate by making us look at a trying time in our history. September 11th brings about a feeling of patriotism for many Americans. Making this the main focus of the conversation is used to subconsciously infer those same feelings for Giuliani himself.
I do not detect any bias on the part of Larry King. I think his questions are fairly open-ended and could be answered either way. I do not believe his questions show him to feel for or against Giuliani.
