Some issues related to online academic honesty would be
Plagiarism- The adoption or reproduction of original creations of another author without due acknowledgement.
Fabrication- The falsification of data, information, or citations in any formal academic exercise
Deception- Providing false information to an instructor concerning a formal academic exercise
Cheating- Any attempt to give or obtain assistance in a formal academic exercise without due acknowledgement
Bribery- or paid services. Giving certain test answers for money
Sabotage- Acting to prevent others from completing their work.
Professional misconduct- Professional acts that are academically fraudulent equate to academic fraud
A list of steps that may be taken to avoid these problems associated with my issues would be:
* Inform students of academic standards for scholarships and conduct
* Explain how cheating harms students and describe campus sanctions
* Minimize the opportunities for cheating and plagiarism
* Take visible actions to detect dishonesty so that students will know that you will not tolerate cheating
* Respond quickly with disciplinary measures and formal actions
* Learn to recognize signs of stress in students
* Develop a climate and group norms that support honesty
* Make sure students know that criteria for evaluating their performance
