March 073 ANTENNA MAINTENANCE POLICY 1. FIRST LINE RESPONSIBILITIES – ANTENNAS a.

Base, Wing and Formation Line Work Centres are considered the First Line Maintenance Organizations and are responsible for Level One Maintenance within their area of responsibility. Level One Maintenance responsibilities generally encompass the preventive maintenance, testing, faultfinding, limited corrective maintenance and minor upgrades of Antenna systems. Tasks are normally of limited complexity and short in duration. Examples of level one tasks including but not limited to the following items: Frequency Annually

Task Completing antenna inspections. Performing corrective and preventive tasks; Maintaining antenna records Ensuring Antenna Documentation is kept up to date Completing “Minor” antenna projects; (see definition below) Maintaining appropriate stock levels of antenna materials Identifying antenna maintenance and upgrade requirements through the established chain of command.
Note Corrective maintenance schedule will derive from the inspection report.

Updates to be forwarded to appropriate agencies. B/W/N Tel O is responsible to determine their maintenance agency’s capability to accept and perform minor projects. Stock level to enable maintenance agency to readily initiate emergency repairs and minor upgrade projects. New or outstanding requirements are to be passed onto command level LCSs via the established chain of command.
