Attack on Imperialism
Imperialism shows the ignorance of the nations conquering others. They think they are helping they so-called “poor†nation, but really they are impeding on their lifestyles. The imperialist do not see that is how the weaker nations have always lived their lives, but rather a nation that needs help. They imperialist are just looking for a way to make a profit off the weaker nations. Unfortunately for the weaker nations, the world is run by money, rather than compassion, and they get abused for labor and raw materials. In Kenya, the British took a rice, cotton, and tobacco from the natives without giving much back to them, leaving them worse than before. The imperialist claim they are enriching the nations, but really are stealing from them. The imperialist claim they were helping out by bringing medicines to help the natives, but really they were the ones bringing the diseases. The Europeans brought smallpox and tuberculosis to Africa. They claim they have the right to overtake the smaller nations because it is their right, but that just shows how conceited and ignorant they are. It is not their right because the people should have the right to choose how they want to run their country and/or if they want help from other nations. Imperialism takes away from the cultural diversity of the world, because the stronger nations would have such a big influence on the weaker nations. They would become just like them and then they would lose their cultural history to new generations. Imperialism should be looked down upon by the stronger nations and let the weaker nations live how they want to.
