A desert scorpion is an arachnid[->0] . An arachnid is an insect that has eight legs two body parts, an abdomen[->1] and a cepholothorax.

The desert scorpion has pale yellow legs, tail, and claws and a black back. The tail is joined to the abdomen. The legs and head are also joined to the abdomen.
Many body parts are joined to the cephalothorax, such as the eyes, and the pincers. Their claws are at the bottom of their legs. They have two eyes and a median eye above it.
HABITAT:
The desert scorpion’s habitat[->2] is the desert[->3]. It is a warm place where the hottest days can reach 120 degrees. Desert scorpions range is south west. In extreme weather conditions, the extra layer of fat under scorpion’s exoskeleton[->4] helps it to survive. It lives in sandy places in the desert like sand dunes.
The desert scorpion eats at night and hides at day. It eats insects such as spiders[->5], and beetles[->6]. It’s predators are baboons[->7], snakes[->8], lizards[->9], lionss[->10] and bears[->11]
SPECIES:
There are more than 600 species of scorpions. Scorpions and Spiders are related they both belong to the arachnid family and they both have eight legs. Large scorpions live in tropical forests. Scorpions can dance by grabbing one another’s pincers so they don’t get hurt. With pincers held they both move back and forth and side ways.
