Football has always been a game of perseverance. I admit I didn’t expect that their will be a football   team representing our country that will make everyone proud. One couldn’t help but feel patriotic, waving Philippine flags while cheering on the Azkals.
It all started when Philippine Azkals historical feat in the AFF Suzuki Cup and its 2-nil victory over the Mongolia Blue Wolves. It has set off a Philippine football renaissance or the boost of the Philippine Football.
Even though the Philippines is not a well known country in playing football, Azkals still did their best in practicing and winning games for our country.This made Filipinos, young or old want to learn how to play football. The Azkals became inspiration of the youth and the like as well. The members of the team really love what they are doing especially being an inspiration to the youth. The most popular members of the team which are Younghusband twins, would organize and join football clinics for those who want to learn football because they believe that Filipinos can do other sports.
Many young filipinos today started playing football not just playing it but putting their passion to it. The youth of today especially the indigent people play it using what they have, they play on vacant lots and use paper as their soccerball,it just showed what did the Philippine Azkals brought to their felllow Filipinio youth, Learning by using what is their available resources Football as a sport makes the youth, especially those out of school, divert their attention to instead of using drugs and/or being involved in crimes.
The recent victory the Azkals is making a trend on different social networking site such as   twitter, facebook, even on women the famous Phil Younghusband. Filipinos really know who should they look up to. And now i’m proud to say i’m a Filipino and I believe in the guts of each...
