“I’ll believe it, when I see it”, is one of my favorite and most used quotes so far. How can people live their lives by a book that over 66 different people wrote over 3500 years ago? It makes you wonder how much of it is actually true. In my opinion, if you can’t see it nor touch it, then you shouldn’t live by it. In my opinion, the complementary perspective is for individuals who are scared to believe that there is no God or other supernatural existence out there, so they take the best of both worlds and settle with that. Fundamentalism, on the other hand, is for those who are oblivious to the facts of science. They always believe in God and obey the rules of their religion. People who claim that all values and morals come from their bible are wrong, because people who don’t read the bible still have a fine understanding of values and morals. In my point of view, being a scientific materialist is similar to being a realist, which means seeing is believing. If I don’t see it right in front of me, I still won’t consider it being true. I believe that my way of thinking is more ideal and pragmatic than others because I won’t get false hope believing in something that in reality does not necessarily exist. The way I see...
