Bead Bar Systems Development Project

Bead Bar is a growing company that allows customers to create their own jewelry using tools such as wires, strings, and beads. Bead Bar has six studios located in Connecticut, New York City, Long island, Washington, DC, and Massachusetts. Bead Bar no longer needs the use of paper based system and is in need of a major technology upgrade to keep up with today’s world. Bead Bar has struggled with their company due to lack of updated technology, and they are seeking change to improve their business. Throughout this paper I will be discussing the systems development plan for Bead Bar using the waterfall method which ensures the project will be completed in time.
The systems development life cycle knows as the waterfall method has 7 steps that will ensure everything runs smoothly and on time. The first phase is planning, which includes establishing a high-level strategy of the intended project and determining what the project goals are. The second phase is system analysis, which involves analyzing the company’s requirement tuning project goals into functions and operations of the system. The third phase is system design, which involves describing the main features and operations of the systems. This includes the company’s rules, layouts, and other documentations. The fourth phase is development, which involves taking all the detailed design information from the design phase and turning it into the actual system. The fifth phase is testing, which will bring all the pieces together as one into a testing environment that test for errors and mistakes. The testing also verifies that the system meets and exceeds all of the business requirements.
