Becoming a Mother

When girls are little they love to play house and pretend they are little Mommy’s taking care of their dolls and stuffed animals.   When we are little we dream about what it’s going to be like when we grow up and become Mothers.   At that time we have no idea what an awesome experience it really is.   Ask any Mother what the most life changing experience she has ever gone through is and becoming a Mother is probably up at the top.   Becoming a Mother for me has given me a reason for living and made my life great.   Being a Mother is the best life changing experience any woman can go through.
My life has never been better than it is now that I am a Mother.   Watching my son grow up, hear him start to talk, and watch him learn new things makes my life more exciting every day.   My son is almost two years old and those years have gone by fast.   Now all of a sudden he tries to repeat everything I say and usually doesn’t come close to sounding the same but it’s so cute to hear him try.   He amazes me how fast he has picked up drawing and painting.   He can already hold his pencil the correct way and when he paints he hardly gets messy at all.   It’s very rewarding to watch him do so well at the things he is learning.   I couldn’t think of a better life than being a Mother to my baby boy.
My Mother’s experience of becoming a Mother was definitely life changing.   It was life changing the most because my Mother isn’t originally from the U.S. so she didn’t have her Mother here to help.   She had to learn all her Mothering skills by trial and error.   She was the oldest of her siblings so she had some idea of how to take care of a baby, but it wasn’t the same.   Having a baby brought my parents closer because they learned how to be parents together.   She became a much stronger woman after having my oldest sister because she accomplished something that she wasn’t sure she could.   She is so thankful to have become a Mother because she knows she wouldn’t be the...
