      I have selected the topic of ADHD and behavior modification that can be implemented in the classroom.   ADHD is a very common condition that is being diagnosed and affecting many children, classrooms, and families in the United States.   There are medications and modifications that can help children with ADHD.   Learning how to modify ADHD behavior is very important knowledge for a teacher to have.
      Choosing ADHD behavioral modification is a personal topic for my family as well.   My son, Ryan, who is five, is a very energetic boy who exhibits some characteristics linked to ADHD.   In preschool he struggled with his behavior, and got in trouble often.   He has some aggressive issues and often lacks impulse control.   His doctor believes that he is too young to diagnose, so it would be beneficial to learn more about ADHD and behavioral modifications that could help him at home and in kindergarten.
      I have found five interesting articles regarding ADHD.   Each article provides specific knowledge on ADHD.   The research ranges from specific ideas to incorporate in the classroom, to specific ways to keep parents and children on track in their programs.
