Belgium or Germany?

For these two countries being neighbors, Germany and Belgium couldn’t be more different.   There are also a few similarities, like, the prime choice in religion is Catholicism.   However, this is a differences essay.   So, let us discuss a few of their differences, like the beer, people, and language.
A common misconception for Americans is that the beer with the highest alcohol content resides in Germany, but alas, it’s in Belgium.   Along with the high alcohol content, the   Belgian beer tastes absolutely fantastic.   There are special cups for different types and special ways to pour the beer.   It takes awhile to master the pours, but once mastered its well worth it.   It’s because of that special pour that the beer has that extra special taste.
Of course, German beer has special cups, but no special pours.   Nothing that make the beer’s taste stand out for the country.   In my opinion, the beer doesn’t taste like it’s meant for the taste at all.   More like, the beer is just supposed to get the person intoxicated.   Which, I guess is ok if that’s the reason that you want to drink beer.
The people of Belgium are nicer than the citizens of Germany.   Belgians will at least take the time to try to help you if you seem to be in need.   They don’t just dismiss you without a second thought.   From finding little things like the store to big things like finding the polite (police) station.   They might even tell you how to pronounce the word in case you have to ask someone else.   Even the travel system seems to be more people friendly in Belgium than in Germany.
For some reason, they seem kinder to those who don’t speak their language.   More people visit Germany than Belgium and you would think that they, Germans, would understand that not every speaks Deustch.   Nevertheless, most Germans expect you to know their language just because you’re in their country.
