Beliefs & Values

Beliefs act in place of all the data we accumulate about events, people, and things that occur in our lifetime. Through all the information we are exposed to we differentiate and select material, which can be applicable to each and every subject in our habitat. A probability scale, and a false or true continuing sequence is used to measure belief. All of us carry beliefs, for example all of us acquire beliefs about the Iraqi War. A few of them might be that the war is a waste of time, lives, and money in other words a wasteful period, but on the flip side of the coin one might say the war dominates with many benefits. In addition out of the beliefs available for judgment, some are more valuable and substantial then others. In other words, "some information about the environment is more important to us than other information"(Sterk, 102). For example me paying my rent for my apartment is far more important for me, compared to a random human paying his rent.
"Its not hard to make decisions when you know what your values are.", once stated by Roy Disney, an American film writer and producer, who is also the nephew of Walt Disney. Values are a unique subset of beliefs. Values are inflexible and enduring.
Values moderately endure the framework of the essence of good and bad. In addition the significance you attach to events or people. In simpler terms what's right and wrong is what values represent in fundamental notions. The reason values are so important is due to the fact of its influence towards our behavior and attitude.
Values are enduring pursuant to the fact that, "they are tied to our basic human needs and because they are learned very early in life."(Marteney, 103).
