Blankets are often a symbol of comfort or warmth. They can show links to moments when one feels upset, or happy. For example some blankets are warm and cozy; they bring out our good moods and make us happy. These blankets may have pictures on them, which can express what it is that brings happiness or joy to one’s life. Other blankets may also show a time where you were in need for some comfort after either a bad day, or an event that put you in a state of melancholy. For example one may have a blanket which is very thin, flat, and boring, where there is a picture of nothing, or a picture of something that shows how you were feeling at this time in your life; for example a picture of a sad moon, which may show how alone or unappreciated you feel.
If you observe the blanket that I had made; with much guidance from my Grandmother who without her help I would have never known how to make a blanket, you will most likely see a blanket which shows my interest in sports. This is true, the blankets shows various sports which I love to play, which symbolizes something that brings joy and comfort to my life. But not all the sports represented on this blanket I have partaken in. Some of them I quite frankly do not like, but this shows how I respect the athletic role used in these sports and how I should not separate or belittle them just because I do not express there interest.
If you look at the lines used to separate the symbol of each sport, you will notice it is not a line at all, but is actually a row of stars. These stars symbolize the extremely high goals that I set for the athletics that I do. They show how I want to reach the top of my class with the abilities that I posses. This also symbolizes the common goal that most athletes want to achieve; to become a star, where they are honored for the achievements that they have made.
