Folic acid deficiency anemia is when the body does not get enough folic acid. Folic acid helps your body make news cells, including red blood cells. You can get folic acid deficiency anemia if you do not eat enough food with folic acid in it. A person with medical problems is in greater need for folic acid. If a person drinks too much alcohol or has severe kidney problems the body does not absorbed enough folic acid.
Some symptoms that a person could have when being anemic is feeling weak or tired, lightheaded, be forgetful, feel grouchy, loss of appetite and weight, and or have trouble concentrating. If you think that some of these symptoms are ones that you have, then you need to see your doctor and get tested so you could get treatment.
