I have reviewed the biggest story at the moment and it is the story of a US citizen being abducted in Pakistan. It was been on all of the networks this morning and it has flooded every major media outlet this morning and last night, and there is still commentary being shown on all the networks. I have reviewed MSNBC.com, Fox news.com, and CNN.com. The first site that I went to was CNN.com http://www.cnn.com/2011/WORLD/asiapcf/08/13/pakistan.kidnapping/index.html?hpt=hp_t1. The coverage on this site seemed adequate, but nothing spectacular they did have a video about what was going on. It did give a little more information about the person that was abducted Warren Weinstein. CNN also gave more information about the company that Warren worked for JE Austin Associates and that the company was based out of Virginia. It also states what happened to the man and how he was abducted they go into detail about that. CNN states that a man pistol-whipped him and his driver, and tying up his guards after getting past security by posing as neighbors offering food, U.S. Embassy and Pakistani officials told CNN. There has been no claim of responsibility of the abduction and there hasn’t been anybody asking for a resume as of yet. CNN did compare this story to another person that was abducted a US citizen in Lahore back in June. CNN didn’t go into detail about the abduction or any other abduction that has happened lately. One thing that I liked about CNN is that you are able to comment on the story right after reading it and no other networks allow you to.
I reviewed the same story about an American citizen named Warren Weinstein that was abducted in Pakistan on Foxnews.com http://www.foxnews.com/world/2011/08/13/american-man-kidnapped-in-pakistan/. When reviewing this story on Fox there was a lot more information and it goes into a lot more depth about it. Fox still talks about what Warren did for a living and it goes into detail about what the company was about,...
