Bruce Lee fighting spirit

The name of the book that I chose to read was Bruce Lee Fighting Spirit by Bruce Thomas. I chose this book because I like the martial arts, and Bruce Lee is one of the greatest martial artists ever. The main character of this story is Bruce Lee. The storyline is all about Bruce Lee's life from childhood to adult hood.

Bruce Lee was born on November 27, 1940 (which is the year of the dragon), between 6:00,and 8:00 a.m. (which is the hour of the dragon). He was named Jun Fan at birth, then renamed Bruce. When he got older his father asked him to go to America, so he would have a better life. Bruce accepted, and flew to America with the yen that his dad gave him. When he arrived in America he was a poor immigrant, so he lived in a dirty apartment and ate very little. However he did make enough money to go to collage. When he was in collage he got into a fight in the gym while he was working out, he used his martial art skills to defeat them. Some of the men that he fought asked him to teach them how to do what he did, so he started training them. Soon more people joined him, and he opened his own dojo. He began acting in TV. shows, and movies he said, “We have something nobody else has Kung Fu”. He continued on, and eventually wrote several books about Kung Fu.

This author used a good style; he talked like he was actually Bruce Lee. He used I, and me instead of he or Bruce Lee, this made it almost like it was actually written by Bruce Lee himself. This style made me feel the events a little bit more because it was like Bruce Lee was actually talking about his life experiences really liked this story allot more because I am also a martial artist, and I could feel what he meant a little bit more. I wouldn't change anything in t his story because this is a great story, about a great man's life, and changing it would not be true. I would recommend it, especially to martial artists, because he was one of the best martial artists ever. `
