Specific Purpose: To inform my audience about the effects and statistics of Bullying.
Central Idea: Bullying is a form of aggressive behavior, which may manifest as abusive treatment, the use of force or coercion to affect others.

II. Today, we will talking about Bullying, which in only in recent years has bullying has been recognized and recorded as a separate and distinct offense, according to the national school safety center.
(Transition: Bullying is something that has been around for as long as we can remember, maybe you or someone you know and love has been bullied.)

I. Bullying is a common problem that has been getting more serve over the years, but what really is bullying?
A. High-level forms of violence such as assault and murder usually receive most media attention, but lower-level forms of violence such as bullying have only in recent years started to be addressed by researchers, parents and guardians, and authority figures.

1. Verbal: name-calling, teasing
2. Social:spreading rumors, leaving people out on purpose, breaking up friendships 
3. Physical: hitting, punching, shoving
4. Cyberbullying: using the Internet, mobile phones or other digital technologies to harm others
An act of bullying may fit into more than one of these groups.
            C. Many have suggested bullying as one of the reason of this decline in emotional sensitivity and acceptance of violence as normal. When someone is bullied, it is not only the bully and victim who are becoming less sensitive to violence. In most cases, the friends and classmates of the bully and the victim accept the violence as normal.
