1. What is an alternative (ethical) action to the situation? Give a specific example relevant to the company.
2. Write an ethical objective that the company could use in the situation.
3. Evaluate the advantages and disadvantages of operating ethically in the individual scenarios mentioned.

A private security company bribes the government officials when violent situations occur between security personnel and the community at client venues.
1. Solve the problem between the security personnel and the community in the proper way based on the government’s proper law.
2. We as a private security company have a responsibility to be honest in doing our job and will follow the proper rules of the government in solving problems and conflicts.
3. Advantages:  
• The private security company will gain good public relations with the community.
• The public will give their trust to the company.
• The security personnel will learn the best way to communicate with the client.
Disadvantage:
• The company would need to spend some cost on giving training to the staff about operating the new ethical policy.

A property developer has evaded government taxes for several years so that it can invest in further property overseas.
1. Start paying the taxes to the government and reduce the investment to overseas
2. Paying taxes is our responsible to the government and we will not ignore our responsibility.
3. Advantages:
• Build a good relationship with the government
• Improving the company image within the public and customers
• A chance to get skilled and qualified employees.
  Disadvantages:
• More cost for choosing to pay tax
• Lose the opportunities to invest in overseas.
• Lose profits.
