In the light of recent restructuring of Kudler Fine Foods, I have identified some key job positions that will be required to meet the ambitious company's objectives. In this memo I would like to describe the job positions, plans for training of new and current employees, appraisal program, incentive and benefits program, career development management, and a fair compensation plan. All the above must be implemented as a close knitted system to develop a high performing team that will eventually create optimum profitability for the Kudler Fine Foods. In regard to developing such a system, Cascio (2005) stated, “the evidence indicates that such practices are usually associated with increases in productivity (defined as output per worker), as well as with a firm’s long-term financial performance. However, these effects are most pronounced when such work practices are implemented together as a system†(p. 41).
New Positions
Following are the job descriptions and the hiring qualifications of five new positions.
Sales and Marketing Coordinator
The coordinator will provide administrative support for the Sales and Marketing. The coordinator will research best scenarios of promotions to advertise through the local newspapers and flyers. The coordinator will be responsible for organizing and managing product shelves effectively to increase sales, setup cost effective promotional pricing and sales to develop bigger market shares. Track the effects of promotional coupons, and sales in form of reports to management. The coordinator will develop and manage plans to increase stores sales through creative marketing and advertising processes.
Hiring qualifications are at least 5 years experience in retail involving food and produce, strong educational background in sales and marketing, strong analytical skills. Further traits are passionate for developing creative ideas, and a good team player.
