Job Description

Below are five job descriptions and qualifications for a Plant Accountant Manager, Sr. Accountant, Accountant I, Accountant II and an Accounting Clerk.
Plant Accountant Manager
• Plans, organizes, coordinates and oversees plant accounting activities to ensure proper control and reporting of plant, property and equipment assets to internal and external customers.
• Manages and maintains adequate staffing levels to ensure proper administration of activities. Selects, develops, trains, motivates and evaluates the performance of assigned employees. Plans and directs the achievement or area goals and objectives within established company polices.  
• Oversees the preparation and distribution of various reports to regulatory agencies and other division leadership and upper management.
Qualifications
• Masters degree in Accounting or related field and five years progressively responsible professional experience
Sr. Accountant
• Senior level professional position responsible for providing advanced technical assistance in the performance of accounting activities.
• Documents accounting procedures, processes and internal controls. Reviews for effectiveness and recommends new data if necessary.
• Prepares and reviews work papers, schedules, exhibits and summaries necessary to develop and support findings.
• Reviews and analyzes a variety of accounting documents and verifies the accuracy of computations.
Qualifications
• Bachelors degree in Accounting or related field and four years professional experience in Accounting.
Accountant I
• Maintain the G/L including posting items and reconciling accounts in accordance with GAAP.
• Assist in the month, quarter and year end close process including account reconciliations, journal entries, accruals and financial statement prep.
