Running head: CASE POINT ANALYSIS
Abstract
Life without the sun can cause an unbalanced Earth. The sun allows warmth and light to the Earth. The sun is an energy source for plants to make food to feed humans beings. Sunlight creates sugars in plants called photosynthesis. The sun creates seasons of weather, ocean currents, and sleep patterns for majority of living things. Without the sun, the Earth would be frozen.
Case Point Analysis
The sun has many advantages to life on Earth. Life on Earth today makes a big difference if there can be life without the sun. Without the sun, the Earth would freeze to a certain depth however, because of the amount of energy the planet has would provide enough heat and electric power to last a few thousand years.
Environmental issues
Without the sun a lot of the population would die due to lack of food from plants and animals. Plants need the sunlight for heat in order to survive. Without plants many foods would not be available to people and animals. Therefore without food to animals, the animals would die and thus not provide enough food to human beings. Gradually plants, animals, and then people would die of hunger.
Scientific method
When speaking of the scientific method, many turn to discuss global warming. Global warming is environmental issues in itself. For example, global warming makes the sea rise. When the sea rises, low lands flood and cause plants and some animals to die. Many individuals lose homes due to flooding and the food supply becomes scarce due to the dead plants and animals.
Global warming affects people directly as well. Pollution causes global warming. For example with a lot of pollution, acid rain is formed. Acid rain gradually destroys almost everything it touches. Therefore when thought of, without the sun, global warming would occur due to the lack of sunlight and need of electricity. The more electricity and energy that is used on Earth, the more pollution is formed.
