Sticky rice in Laos was presented in an expository format; examples, evidence, and facts supported the topic. The essay was presented also in a nonbiased manner. Interviews with local Laos people speaking on the everyday use of sticky rice and the reasons that they chose sticky rice over white rice as their main substance. There was no opinions made about which type of rice was better, there were only facts about why they use it and how often they use it.
Wayne Thiebaud: Beyond the Cakes was presented in a character study essay format. The Essay focused on a specific person of interest Wayne Thiebaud.
