Check Point: Water Impacts

The hydro logic cycle of the earth is how the earth keeps it's water source fresh and transports the water to where it is needed. As the water moves through the cycle in it's various forms, it is deposited throughout the different Eco-systems and zones. If it were not for the various outside contributors, the whole cycle would fall apart. Starting with the sun, the water is evaporated through heat and it rises to the ozone layer in the form of a gas. As the gasses hit the ozone layer, they cool off and grab a hold of the particles in the air, such as dust and other microscopic minerals. This process is called condensation, and when a bunch of the particles gather together in the atmosphere they form the clouds. The power of wind now gets involved and blows the clouds throughout the earth, so water that may have evaporated from the pacific ocean is now headed towards the middle of north America. This process is a great way the earth recycles its salt water to create fresh water. As the clouds become heavier with more and more particles, moisture is released back down towards earth in the form of rain. Depending on the climate when it rains, the water can then become snow, sleet, ice, or stay in its original form as rain. Once the water makes it's landing on the surface of the earth, it causes runoffs; runoffs usually travel towards larger deposits of water, starting with creeks and rivers, progressing to lakes and even back into the ocean. As the water is passed through the earth, some of it is absorbed into the ground becoming groundwater for wells, as well as being absorbed by the plants. As the cycle flows so does life on earth.
