Checkpoint Group Communication

Group communication is a very important part of business atmosphere, having meetings allows for individuals in the company to come together and feel like they are informed.   When a company has a group meeting each individual in the meeting should feel like they contribute something to the meeting.   When communicating with others in a group atmosphere the person controlling the meetings should know that the meeting is only successful if it is a group effort.   When invited to a meeting and you are not sure of what the meeting is about, do not be afraid to ask questions and what you should bring to the meeting.   Individual communication happens when a person is dealing one on one with another person.   Both types of communication can use the same types of strategies, because communication is done to relay some sort of information.
Group communication includes multiple individuals, sometimes using conference calls or teleconferencing.   When this type of communication is used it allows individuals to bring forth many different ideas and speak on their views.   Utilizing Funneling in group meetings is a good way to get information in the meeting exchanged quickly and clearly.
Always review, suggest and set some ground rules for the meeting.   When setting ground rules which help the meeting run smoothly and stay on track, on time and on subject. This will also prevent any side comments or any arguments.   Another way to draw individuals into the meeting is by asking questions.   This allows for a good discussion, it makes the individuals in the meeting feel like they are included in the meeting.
