Is Chivalry Sexist?
Chivalry is one of the farthest things to being sexist. Although it is intended for knights who are men it has rules for respecting women. I think the only way someone would think chivalry was sexist is because it is fore knights and knights are only men. Chivalry was meant to be a code of honour and to make knights nobler not to exclude the opposite sex. Knight who followed chivalry were to be thought of as a great knight. The argument that chivalry is sexist is a joke and should be dismissed. Also the rules of Chivalry could be followed by women to f they preferred. The rules were many basic rules to being a good person and having proper manners toward others such as not lying, use self control, respect your elders, and many other rules. These rules do not seem very sexist to me and should be followed by all women. Another reason Chivalry is not sexist is that in it, it said defend your women with your life. When knights protect their women with that much love and force it is far beyond from being sexist. When knights give their lives for other women it is an act of nobility and love and it is a shame if anyone even refers to that as being sexist. These following reasons are just a few of many that I believe on Chivalry being sexist.
