Christmas
My favorite holiday of the year is Christmas. In fact, there are millions of people just like me who love this holiday. Christmas is celebrated in most countries around the world every year. I think that makes Christmas one of the biggest holiday events in this world. There are many things that I love about Christmas. First of all, I love the holiday atmosphere of Christmas. People spend a lot of time to decorate their houses with beautiful lights. There are always big Christmas trees standing tall and proud in the shopping malls. I love the holiday music that dances in air where ever I go. Whether I'm shopping at the mall, strolling the streets, or eating at a restaurant it feels like Christmas is everywhere. The next thing is togetherness. Christmas brings people together. A large group of people will go to church to celebrate the birth of Jesus. Some people will choose to stay together in the houses like family gatherings. For example, my parents would usually invite all the relatives to come to our house to have a big feast on that day and after the dinner, we would exchange gifts. The last thing I love about Christmas is shopping. Everyone loves shopping on Christmas. Many people, including myself, believe that the best time to go shopping is during the Christmas season. Retailers try to load off their overstock items and clear out shelf space for spring merchandise. For that reason, they will offer huge savings to attract buyers. I like Christmas because it is the only holiday that give me wonderful feeling.
