CIVIL WAR REPORT

One of the bloodiest wars ever took place on this earth from 1861 to 1865, called the Civil War.   This war was between the Union States and the Confederate States, the North between the South.   All because of black slavery, the North wanted no slavery and the South wanted slavery. So, they decided what it was going to be in the U.S. the hard way.   Both sides had strategies to win the war.   Both the North and the South had disadvantages and advantages to winning the war.
The Union known as the North, had some good strategies for win the war.   The South was bringing in supplies and men on horses and railroads.   So, the North made blockades and tried to prevent this action.   Second, The North wanted to capture Richmond because of all of the good directors and leaders and their president Jefferson Davis were all stationed there. Lastly they tried to get total control of the Mississippi River so that the South couldn’t travel and transport goods on the river and so that the north could use the river for their needs.
The Union had a lot of advantages in this war because of great leadership and determination.   The Union had good railroad system to transport men and supplies.   Abraham Lincoln was president of the Union at the time and he was one of the best leaders every in American history.   Also, the North had a larger population than the South.   Then North also had African Americans on their team, they were very strong and determined to end slavery.
The Union had disadvantages.   For example, they did not know the South land as well as the North where they were from.   When they captured cities in the Confederate part of America, the North had to hold them because they could be attacked again there.   Abraham Lincoln always had the fear of losing Border States to the South.
