Club IT (Part Two)
Introduction
After just a few short months, Club IT has greatly improved its intranet system and strategic competitive goals. Although the company has made great progress, there are some other areas that should be improved in order for Club IT to be the ultimate successful club. These areas of improvement involve the customer’s relationship, the supply system, and the company’s resources.
By, Ruben and Lisa, Club IT’s founders, following prior recommendations, Club IT has been able to stay afloat. The company is still using the old intranet system, but now each staff member has their own username and password and can also view their own employee information. Only the owners can view Club IT’s information such as supply, sales, and stock. The new system also allows Ruben and Lisa to evaluate their staff and check how their staff is managing their time and how efficient their employees are with their work performance. Another improvement is the newly installed ID scanners. Now, the owners can track their customers and get information such as their client’s likes, drink and food preferences, and the music tastes. Improving these areas allowed Club IT to establish a competitive edge over its competitors.
Club IT’s Resources
To increase success, research shows that Club IT should focus on improving three additional areas. The first area is technology which is part of the company’s resources. The current intranet technology allows Ruben and Lisa to see the events and issues that happen within the company, but it doesn’t allow the owners to see what happening outside the inner circle such as their clientele and theft. One would suggest that Lisa and Ruben invest in security cameras. This will allow the security department to collaborate with other departments to prevent and solve matters.
