Hi Anthony I read over your answered for the discussion question on business etiquette, I have a few suggest and pointers to help you out.
This is how I would of reply.
I attend a company conference there was a presentation on etiquette.
You made note that you saw a business lady give a presentation on etiquette and that you were surprised that she had a lot of good thing to say.
What you say here is bias, it comes off that you don’t think women have a good things to say, that you were surprised, if it were a man giving the presentation would you have repay the same way?
I figured business etiquette would be really corny, but I pick up on a lot of good pointers.
The company picnic were all the manger and their wives attended, were you thought you polish up with your etiquette while talking to some of the good old boys at the top.
Here again you are begin bias with you statement on wives and the good old boys at the top. Mangers are both male and female and there could be woman at the top, who to say the company is not own by woman.
Later that month there was a company picnic, so I polish up on my etiquette, I took some of the tips I learn on the presentation on etiquette when talking with the mangers. I was up for a promotion and needed to do a little networking. Well, it works! My boss was telling me how impressed mangers at the picnic were with me, and it was about time I got a raise.
I recommend that anyone who wants to advance in the business world should seriously consider brushing up on business etiquette, just like I did. It really works!
Here you say any man who wants to advance in the business world should brush up on his etiquette. You narrow it down just to men, by saying anyone you open it up to ever one.
