As many may know, communication in today’s society is very important and plays a major role in our everyday lifestyle. Throughout the years, it has grown far more than many would have imagined because of the different technology now being used. One thing that we can say is no matter how anyone may like to communicate, it always gives them the opportunity to express their feelings and opinions at any given moment. There are many different forms of communication, but there seem to be three major forms that people tend to use. This is face to face, email, or even the old fashion letter. These forms of communication are usually based of a person’s character or personality and can affect the way that person learns. Different forms of communication lead to different learning styles. Everyone is different and express themselves in a different manner. This means one form of communication a person might be comfortable with, might not be suitable for another. Some learning styles that are used are bodily-kinesthetic, verbal-linguistic, and visual-spatial (Carter). These all play a major role in communication as well.
The most common form of communication is face to face. This would probably be most suitable for someone who is verbal-linguistic. This is because it easy for someone to share their feelings and opinions with instant feedback or reaction. When dealing with face to face you can truly see emotions come to life and how somebody may feel about a particular topic. This is usually used when dealing with co-workers, friends and family. When you are surrounded by friends and family it usually easier for them to know how you feel just by reaction to certain things. They know what can make you angry, sad or happy.
