Competition between Gustave Courbet and Ravi Raj Verma
Both of the painters are painters at the time of the realism. We came across Courbet before we were going to see museum in an activity done by ma’am. In which she described a painting of Courbet and she said the painter is sitting and painting, a nude women is watching him and she has a long cloth with her with which she is trying to cover her self. There is also a little boy watching him, there is a hunter with a gun and there is a cat and a boy beside him. There is a skull kept there. A young boy is reading book a lady is fidgeting with her bracelet. Then we had to remember few things which were there in the painting. And then we made our own out line and our placement of things described by our teacher. Then we saw the painting and it the! No, can you tell me which one it could be; well I will only tell you it is “The Artist Studio”.
Now this painter was born on 10, June 1819, in Ormans, in a farmer’s house. Courbet got the revolt against the Romanticism, which was the picture perfect time. He also painted many more lovely paintings like the A Burial Ornans, Portrait of Juliette Courbet as a sleeping child, The Wonder Man, The stormy sea and many more. But The Artist Studio, It was rejected His response was defiant: he mounted his own exhibition. He had a temporary building constructed next to the main exhibition pavilion, in which he exhibited 40 of his painting in a one-man show entitled “Realism. Hi other work which also made a big controversy was A Burial at Ornans and The Stone Breakers. He then died on december31, 1877.
Now after this activity we went to a museum we saw the painting done by the painter Ravi Raj Verma, Mostly all the paintings of R.R.Verma we saw were of the Ramayana, but he also made paintings on Mahabhat, on the stories of Krishna, and other painting of the God and Goddess in the British style, by the oil paints.
