Which input/output devices will you be using in the next one to three years as "computing" devices?
I am not sure because of how technology is changing so rapidly. I hope that I will be using an iPhone or iPad. I currently have a lap top and use it for my school work. I would like to have an E-reader I think it would help in my studies.
Which features/components/form factors will be prominent? Why?
The most prominent features of any of these devices will be the ability to access the internet wherever I am at. I use the search engines a lot to find directions to where I need to go. People now depend on the internet for a lot of things. An IPhone would be important if you can access the information you need.
Which features/components/form factors will be important to you? Why?
The cellular phone and laptop are my most important uses. I need my cellphone because that is my main source of communication. The laptop is another thing I need to do my school work and research.
Which applications will you be using on these devices?
On my cell phone I use the text messaging a lot it is the best way to stay in contact with my family on my laptop I use search engines a lot to find maps and directions and to do research. My laptop contains a lot of my information and pictures.
How may these devices change your life in terms of benefits and risks?
These devices change my life because I am always on one or the other. My laptop is close by for all my school needs and I have a desk top I use for social networking. My cell phone is never too far away in case I get a text. The risks of having such devices close at hand is that I depend on my laptop and desktop for everything and these systems goes down, then I would be lost because I have no way to communicate with friends. Or do my schools work. You can become addicted to a lot of the apps now and would interfere with everyday life around you off the computer.
