I am proposing to write about a career as a computer programmer. I will be including information that I have researched about computer programmers online and in books, also using the Phoenix University Library. There are some specific elements that I intend to focus on in the presentation such as:

My Background
What has led me to pursue a career in this field is the expansion of this career that can lead into so many other fields. I have been using computers since I was about eleven years old. I have been very intrigued with computers since I use to play the computer game “Where in the World is Carmen San Diego” at the neighborhood Boys and Girls club in Chicago, Illinois. Over the years I have followed the advance in modern day technology through the news and internet, due to careers involved in the computer science field1. There have been many major achievements due to the advance in computer science like the development of the new digital revolution which includes the internet and a new information age in technology2 and I would to be a part of the new developments in technology from entry level gaming leading up to Lead programmer if possible. The learning experience in the Computer science field is endless, the more you know the better your chances are to a better higher paying salary and a great career that can range from one career to a wide variety of career expansions. I’m into learning on a daily basis and computers so I figured this field would fit perfectly.

Different types of programmer positions:
